Boring you so much it hurts--

Why is this blog, this website, this sentence, these ideas and notions---why are they so dreadfully boring and pointless? Maybe because you are not reading them, or sharing my Blog (ever), or maybe because I sometimes write about small things in life, or tedious personal matters you have no interest in. Maybe you are interested in jet-aircraft, which I know nothing about. Maybe you are passionate about gardening, or passionate about NASCAR, or passionate about sexuality, or politics, or religion, and you don't find those topics here to your satisfaction. Maybe you can't read. Maybe you are someone who finds me personally obnoxious or you have something about me in the past that brings you negative feelings for whatever I have to say or write. So, you might say, 'sorry about that'. Another point-of-view, though, is that the Internet and 'new-media' are far more of a personal vanity, than many other forms. I can post my music, my stories, my videos and audio, my opinion, my religion, my complaints and angry rants, pretty much endlessly and without limits, even such sensible limits as we see in newspapers or books, where at least the writer or creative artist, is identified and can be known by his work and what he is offering---rather than oblique anonymity, the bugaboo of Internet media ethics. Media ethics today in America and the West, is a tragic disaster, in my opinion, as someone who has worked in the media most of my life. But---that's boring. That's not your topic, not what you want to hear or read about, not very interesting, and somewhat technical or academic. Additionally, on the 805-Forum, and similar websites---the 805-Forum is a fantastic new tool, a wonderful free online bulletin board system for locals in this area---this forum, can only contain or offer what 'we the people' may have to offer one another anywhere else---ideas, news, pictures, and so on. If you are chatting with a friend in town some day soon, and talking about this-or-that---aside from more detailed or researched material---what else would anyone ever post to the 805-Forum? Often the result is a mere vanity, a mirror we use sometimes to gaze on our own intellectual 'beauty', longing for others to join in our self-adulation. And of course that includes me, probably more than many others. Bored yet? Me too---
