Affiliates of San Luis Garbage raised $8,680 through employee contributions and a corporate match to buy 150 new bikes. They will be donated to Toys for Tots, which in turn will give the bikes to social service agencies and nonprofits to distribute to clients across the county. Each year, San Luis Garbage employees bring their families to participate in preparing the bikes for distribution so that the younger generation can learn the value of community service.
