The $30 million widening of Highway 46 from Airport Road to Geneseo Road near Paso Robles is continuing on schedule and within budget, officials said. It’s slated for completion in late 2010.Officials said they’ve worked to make the project environmentally friendly in several ways:• Project contractor Papich Construction of Pismo Beach is using concrete reclaimed from a local landfill. It’s crushed into gravel and then used as recycled material on both sides of the highway.
