This weekend (sept. 12-14) the beach will be buzzing in Santa Barbara with 2 big events.

West Beach
Ziggy Marley and George Clinton headline the second annual West Beach Music Festival, kicking off at 3 p.m. Friday and continuing on the weekend with non-stop rock, reggae and jam from 40 bands on four stages. Bring towels and sunscreen, as this is the only music festival held right on the sand (no beach chairs or blankets are allowed). For more info, check out westbeachfestival.com.

East Beach
On Saturday there is the Santa Barbara Sandcastle Festival. Teams compete in a number of categories and registration begins at 10:30. There is a day full of activities. Check out sandcastlefestival.com for more info and to see a schedule of events.
