Default Pinkberry now open in SB

Not quite sure what all the hype is about. My girlfriend took me there last Tuesday and it was ok. The frozen yogurt taste like someone just froze some plain yogurt. It catches you off guard because I was expecting it to taste like soft serve ice cream. What are you opinions? Overpriced?

I went on Thursday and didn't think it was anything special either.

I love it. The only thing is that they are not by any means real yogurt. To be officially called yogurt, the product must contain a certain amount of active bacterial cultures. I forgot how many, but its something like 69,000. Pinkberry has something like 15-20,000 active cultures.

What I'm looking forward to is Red Mango, which is opening up in Five Points on La Cumbre, next to blenders and that karate studio. They have the official amount of cultures to be called official yogurt, and apparently its a lot better and cheaper.

to my knowledge they will have the same flavors, but their pomegranate will be made by POM. so hopefully thats a good thing, even though I always get the original at pinkberry.

I'm waiting for coffee flavor mm.

Yogurtland is amazing. It would be hard to break my allegiance to it and go to pinkberry, but perhaps one of these days I'll try it!

I agree! Yogurtland is amazing. I wouldn't switch to Pinkberry if you paid me.

I love Pinkberry! I'm not a big Yogurtland fan, though I'm really impressed with their red velvet yogurt!

Honestly, I don't get what all the hype is about any brand of yogurt. but then again, I'm not very sophisticated, where I come from the nearest Starbucks was 32 miles away. And until I came to California, I'd actually never even seen anywhere like Yogurtland or Pinkberry that sold just yogurt.

Pinkberry is not bad, Yogurtland is better, but I prefer steak anyway!
