Saw this thread in the Santa Barbara section and figured it worked for Ventura as well. The big one for me is Sonic. I have only been to one a couple times, but they seem to advertise a lot here, or at least used to, and the closest one was in Anaheim. I actually looked into franchising one a few years ago, but they require the owner to have at least 2 franchises already going.

They have one in Tehachapi but that is like 2 hours away.

I usually go to one that just opened in Murrieta when I am down there as it is a block away from my fiance's parent's house.

NICE. I know people who drive out of the way for it too. Im not much for fast food but their slushes are AMAZING!

I've never tried a Sonic. I see commercials all the time for Sonic, but I live in San Luis Obispo, and we don't have one anywhere near our area. In fact, I'm not even sure where the nearest Sonic is... I'm intrigued though... Maybe when I'm in Anaheim next month, I'll check out the one there. Are their burgers better than In-N-Out??

Thats what bothered me! They would always have their commercials here and I would see all those delicious drinks. I have only ate their once out of the 3 times I have been, and no, definitely not better than in-n-out.

Ok good...then I'm not so disappointed that there is not a Sonic in the area. In-N-Out is my fav...so I'll stick with that
